Some Helpful Senior Trip Advice!!!!
So it is finally getting hot outside, which means summer is almost here! I’m breaking out the bathing suits and sun block because it is almost time for my senior trip! I cannot wait to finally lay out on the beach all day and not have to think about school or work. And although senior trips are supposed to be fun and exciting there are some things to watch out for. Visiting a foreign place that you aren’t used to can be very dangerous if you aren’t being safe..
First and most important rule visiting a foreign place, DON’T DRINK THE WATER! Whatever you do, no matter how clear or clean it looks, don’t drink it. The pathogens in other countries water are foreign to your immune system, and can result in you getting sick. The only safe water to drink while visiting a foreign place is bottled water that has not been opened. What a waste it would be to be sick while you’re on vacation!
If you are going to some place with a beach, be sure to bring a lot of sun block! Many famous beaches that attract teens for senior trips tend to be closer to the Equator, therefore the sun is more intense. This can cause you to get sun burnt a whole lot faster than normal. So be sure to slap on some SPF 30 before going out to catch some waves!
When visiting a place that you aren’t familiar with, it would be wise to travel using the buddy system. Always have someone with you no matter what and never go off by yourself. You wouldn’t want to get lost in a place you’ve never been surrounded by people you don’t know. After all, there is safety in numbers!
Now that you know all of the important stuff, you should go on a senior trip too! Senior trips can be tons of fun, but only if you are smart and safe about it!
