Event - FREE Community Outreach Seminar

The Furthering Community Unity Team and Shell Federal Credit Union will be hosting a Community Outreach Seminar for free to our members and community. There will be guest speakers from various volunteer organizations to help you learn about the different types of organizations there are and the things they do in our community. This will be a FREE seminar and all ages are welcome. The seminar will be held on April 10th at Shell Federal Credit Union in Deer Park (301 E 13th St Deer Park, TX 77536) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. If you are a parent of a student, a student or a community member wanting to find a way give back; please join us for this fun and informational seminar. We look forward to seeing you there!

Event - Pasadena Animal Shelter

When: Saturday, February 4th Time: 11:00 - 2:00 Where: Pasadena Animal Shelter 5150 Burke Rd Pasadena, Tx 77504 Other Notes: Come join us in helping walk and bathe the animals at the Pasadena Animal Shelter. It will be a fun and interactive opportunity to connect with the four legged friends of our community who need just a bit of friendly petting and playing. **Ages 4 to 14 years must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18. You must wear jeans and closed toed shoes.**

Event - Thank You Troops Video Project

Goal: Video thank you troops messages from the community and compile a video to disburse through various methods to the troops (including websites such as ThankYourSoldiers.com, soldiersangels.org, etc.) and the SFCU and iLife websites.

Recording Dates: May 7 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM @ Deer Park Branch and May 14 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM @ Fairmont Branch. Shell FCU will also have a booth on April 25 at Sylvan Beach Festival, La Porte. Video will be recorded at the booth and a banner for the troops will also be on display for signing.

Special Instructions: A consent form will be signed by all participants before recording. Those under 18 will need a signed Shell FCU parental consent form before recording.

Video Completion: Deadline for completion of the video for distribution will be June 1, 2009.
