Saving for Summer Vacation
So summer is almost here and I can not wait for no school, sitting out by the pool all day, and of course summer vacation! Vacationing is definitely my favorite part about summer. One week of total relaxation and doing whatever I want! What could be better?!
But of course, with fun there comes a price. And with summer vacations, it’s usually not a cheap price. Going out of town anywhere can be expensive just with the price of gas alone. And plane tickets aren’t so inexpensive either. Besides transportation there is also much more to think about in terms of cost. You will have to pay for food, hotel, and the fun stuff that you had planned to take the vacation for in the first place! When it comes to planning a vacation, you first have to plan to save.
Saving is not as hard as some people think. If you know you are going on vacation in a couple of months, start saving now, depositing a certain amount of money into your savings each week. If you do get an automatic withdrawal taken from your account each week, chances are you won’t even miss it! Or if you didn’t plan ahead for your vacation, you can just have a few cutbacks. You would be surprised by how much money you can save just by not going out to eat and bringing your lunch. Anything you think you can go a couple of weeks without will help save a lot for your vacation.
Trust me; being on a budget while on vacation is no fun. That is why saving is such an essential part in planning for the perfect vacation. After all, what is the point in buying an expensive plane ticket to Hawaii if you don’t have enough for the cab fair to get to the beach?
