Declutter With A Yard Sale
With the school year ending, it is time to change some things. Out with the old and in with the new. And what better way to get rid of all those old things than a yard sale? It’s simple, cheap, and easy! And it’s a simple way to make some cold hard cash.
First things first, no one is going to know about the yard sale if they don’t see signs. You want to make the signs bright and colorful to get people’s attention when they are driving by. You also want to have the address of where the yard sale will be. An arrow might be good too. Some cities require a permit to put up signs so make sure you check into that first.
So people aren’t completely bombarding you with questions on how much this is, or how much that is, be sure to buy price stickers to put on everything. They sell for really cheap at any store. Some places even sell stickers that already have prices on them for your convenience!
It would be wise to have a cash box to store all the money with plenty of change just in case. One person should be designated to hold on to the cash box and keep track of all the money. Write down how much you had in the box at the beginning of the day, and then at the end of the day subtract that from your overall total, and that will give you how much you made!
Having a yard sale is easy if you plan it all out and know what you are doing. It is also a great way of making a little bit of money. It will declutter your space and give you a whole bunch of room for all new things!
