Saving Money on Textbooks
A college education can be very expensive. You have to keep in mind of every little thing you might need to pay for so that you can save up for just the right amount. Some things though are underestimated on how much they might cost. One thing that people don’t usually save up enough money for are books. Books can be really expensive! A single book could cost anywhere from $75 to $300. And that’s for a single book! But I am here to tell you that there are other ways around paying that much money for one book.
The first thing to do before buying your books, is check with your friends. Some people might have taken the classes you are about to take, and so they have the book already. Borrowing from friends is the best thing you can when it comes to getting books for college. It is free and simple, but just remember to give it back!
If none of your friends have the book that you are looking for, then you have to resort to actually buying the book. But don’t just go to the campus book store and spend your whole paycheck. Look around at bookstores outside of the college. These bookstores usually carry used books that you can buy for a cheaper price. And the best part is, when you’re done with the class you can sell it right back for cash or book store credit.
If you don’t want to have a used book, there are websites you look at to buy new books for a lower price than at campus bookstores. Websites like www.amazon.com usually have all of the books that are required for college courses. But, if you can’t find what you are looking for there, many people also sell new books on www.ebay.com .
Books can be very expensive, especially if you don’t look around beforehand. Try to find the books you need before school starts. Otherwise, book orders might get backed up and you could be out of a book for the first couple weeks of class. And without a book, how will you study? Just be sure to be prepared so that you wont be left behind!

Thanks for the advice!
