Surviving the First Week of School
So your first few days have passed and you are just now getting back into the swing of things. You got your books, pencils, paper and you’re ready to go. Going back to school can be a very stressful thing, especially when you have been test-free for the past three months. Now it is all about staying organized and keeping track of all of your work.
Keeping everything organized is essential when going back to school. With all of the new papers you are getting from each class it can be very hard to find where everything is. Having a folder for each class is probably the best way to go when organizing your things. And if you want to be really organized, get a different color folder for each class so you know exactly what’s what without having to look at it!
Have you ever been in the middle of a paper and your pen suddenly runs out of ink? And you don’t have another one because you let the kid that sits beside you in your last class borrow it and he never gave it back? That is exactly why it is important to bring multiple writing utensils. Pens and pencils, because some teachers prefer pens, and teachers prefer pencils. It is also good to have a good eraser handy just in case.
Nothing is worse than waking up and realizing you are late for school. It is super important that you remember to always set your alarm clock before you go to bed. Missing just a few minutes of class can really hurt you. You get counted tardy, and if it adds up you could get detention. Some teachers answer questions or give reviews right before taking a test, so if you are going to be late, don’t let it be on a test day!
School can be stressful but if you take the right steps in being prepared it will be a breeze! Just remember to write down everything you need in a planner and don’t forget to check it every day. School is fun and classes are easy as long as you are organized and prepared!
