SAT And ACT Prep Course
Applying for college can be a very tough, stressful, and tiring process. As if graduating seniors don’t have enough to deal with already? The SAT and ACT can cause a student to go into major meltdown mode. But what can you do? Most colleges and universities require that you take one or even both of these tests. So there is nothing else but to study hard, be prepared, and hope that you don’t get stuck next to that annoying kid who constantly taps his pencil.
Study study study. That’s the key to all good grades. If you don’t study, you are bound to not be so pleased with the score you get. But make sure you are studying the right things. There are many websites like www.collegeboard.com and www.actstudent.org that provide you with free practice tests and questions to help prepare you for the big day. A lot of times high schools and colleges will even hold SAT and ACT prep classes that you can attend for a small fee and sometimes free.
Nothing is worse than showing up on the day of the test and realizing that you don’t have everything that you need. On the day of the test you are required to bring your admission ticket, a photo ID, two number 2 pencils, a permitted calculator, and maybe some extra batteries just in case your calculator dies. The most important thing to remember is to bring the right calculator. Using the wrong calculator is the most common reason students are dismissed from the test. To see what calculators are permitted and prohibited, check out the site where you signed up for the test and it should have all of the information.
Don’t sweat it. Remember that it is just a test and nothing to go crazy over. Remember though that it is a timed test, so you do need to watch the clock and make sure you have enough time. But as long as you study and come prepared you have nothing to worry about!
