Things to do During the Holidays

With the winter break here and school out already many are faced with the decision of how to spend their day. What is there to do during the winter holidays? If you are one of the few who aren’t going out of town to visit relatives this holiday season you might find yourself with nothing to do. No worries, we are here to help.

One of the best Christmas rituals that everyone should do is go ice skating. Local ice skating rinks are usually opened for a couple hours each night to free skate and cost around 7-15 dollars to get in. They provide you with the skates and you are ready to go! It is cheap, convenient and a lot of fun.

If you are a little on the broke side this Christmas due to all of the giving you’ve been doing, good ole Christmas light looking is always entertaining. Many people tend to go all out when it comes to decorating their house for the holidays. Some even have lights that blink to the sound of music playing. It is a blast to do and it’s absolutely free (except for the gas money it costs to drive around of course, unless you walk).

Probably the best thing you could do with your spare time is volunteer. There are so many volunteer opportunities right now thanks to the holidays. It is free and helps someone in need. Volunteering makes you feel so great about yourself and it is a gift you can give to someone that won’t cost you a dime.
