Hula in the Coola Day-Feb 1
Tired of this cold nasty weather? Well so are we! That’s why we are celebrating Hula in the Coola Day. This is a day where you can throw out all of your jackets and gloves and put on your favorite grass skirt and turn up the tropical music.
Hula in the Coola is celebrated on February 1st and it is to help make people feel as if the cold weather is gone and summer is here again. The cold weather can make people miserable and this day lets them pretend for a while that its 95 degrees outside.
How do you celebrate? Get all of your friends together and have a luau of course! Dress up in bathing suits and coconut tops with grass skirts. Do the limbo and wear your most colorful lei. And if it is too terribly cold outside to have a luau, have it inside and just turn on the lights really bright!

Wish we could do this every day. Too bad I can't do the limbo.
