Event - FREE Community Outreach Seminar

The Furthering Community Unity Team and Shell Federal Credit Union will be hosting a Community Outreach Seminar for free to our members and community. There will be guest speakers from various volunteer organizations to help you learn about the different types of organizations there are and the things they do in our community. This will be a FREE seminar and all ages are welcome. The seminar will be held on April 10th at Shell Federal Credit Union in Deer Park (301 E 13th St Deer Park, TX 77536) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. If you are a parent of a student, a student or a community member wanting to find a way give back; please join us for this fun and informational seminar. We look forward to seeing you there!

Deadline for John Garrison Scholarship

The deadline for Shell FCU’s John Garrison Scholarship is fast approaching! If you haven’t started your application now, you probably want to get on it. The scholarship will award five lucky high school seniors $2500 each to go towards their college education.

Are you eligible? Lets find out. Below are the following qualifications you must meet in order to apply for the John Garrison Scholarship.

1. You must be a Shell FCU member with a savings account with at least a $5 account balance,
2. You have to be a high school graduating senior in the 2009-2010 school year,
3. And, you must be planning on attending an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States.

Do you qualify? If so hurry and get your application submitted before March 13. Not a member? That’s ok, becoming one is easy. All you have to do is open a savings account with $5 at any local Shell FCU branch. Don’t wait, the deadline is closer than you think!
