Event - FREE Community Outreach Seminar

The Furthering Community Unity Team and Shell Federal Credit Union will be hosting a Community Outreach Seminar for free to our members and community. There will be guest speakers from various volunteer organizations to help you learn about the different types of organizations there are and the things they do in our community. This will be a FREE seminar and all ages are welcome. The seminar will be held on April 10th at Shell Federal Credit Union in Deer Park (301 E 13th St Deer Park, TX 77536) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. If you are a parent of a student, a student or a community member wanting to find a way give back; please join us for this fun and informational seminar. We look forward to seeing you there!

Event - Pasadena Animal Shelter

When: Saturday, February 4th Time: 11:00 - 2:00 Where: Pasadena Animal Shelter 5150 Burke Rd Pasadena, Tx 77504 Other Notes: Come join us in helping walk and bathe the animals at the Pasadena Animal Shelter. It will be a fun and interactive opportunity to connect with the four legged friends of our community who need just a bit of friendly petting and playing. **Ages 4 to 14 years must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18. You must wear jeans and closed toed shoes.**

Volunteering at the Animal Shelter

This past weekend the FCU Team went out to the Pasadena Animal Shelter to help volunteer in any way that we could. And I must say, it was a great success! Over 50 people showed up to help wash cages, clean up trash around the shelter, unfold newspapers for the cages, and of course, play with the animals.

Everyone had so much fun that we are now looking to volunteer at animal shelters quarterly. And not just the Pasadena Animal Shelter, we also want to go to other surrounding cities as well.

Anyone can come volunteer with the FCU Team, even little ones. In fact, tons of kids came to volunteer at the animal shelter. Volunteering is something great you can do for your community and it helps out others in need.
