Special Olympics, Spring Games

When:May 4th Where: Clear Creek High School: 2305 E Main St. League City, TX Time:7:30 AM – 12:00 PM Other Notes:The FCU Team and Space Center Volunteers are partnering together to lend a hand at the Area 22 Spring Games Special Olympics. Volunteers are needed to assist in various task such as timers, cheerers, runners, escorts, greeters, measurers, recorders, field events and more. This event will involve lots of walking and moving around so tennis shoes and comfortable clothing is suggested.

Everyone’s Gotta Eat Food Drive

When:May 1st– May 31st Where:All Shell FCU Locations Other Notes:Shell FCU is collecting non-perishable items for people and pets to help fill the shelves of local pantries for the upcoming summer months. All collected money and non perishable items will be distributed to food pantries and animal shelters closest to each Shell FCU branch.

Youth Month Winner

Since August 2008 iLife, powered by Shell Federal Credit Union, has been spreading the word of financial literacy to young adults in the community. April is credit union youth month, so to celebrate, iLife held a special promotion just for people between the ages of fifteen and twenty four. If you were in the specified age range and opened a checking account, iSave account, or iDrive account, you were entered to win a $250 Apple gift card, as well as receive a free iLife T-shirt.

Jasmine Vega was the lucky winner who received the gift card. She opened her account during lunch at Sam Rayburn High School when the iLife Team was there promoting Shell FCU’s new special. You can see a photo of Britney Samperi, iLife Innovator, giving Jasmine her prize below.
