What does the FCU Team do?

The FCU Team devotes hefty and small amounts of their precious personal time to participate in events that affect people and places within our communities.

What do I get for volunteering at an FCU Team event?
Not only do you get to participate in FCU Team events that make a difference in your community but you get to spend time with your friends while volunteering for worthy causes, the chance to end up on the iLife web site and a FREE FCU Team t-shirt when you initially join the FCU Team at one of the Shell FCU sponsored events (1st shirt free, each additional shirt is $5).

How can I sign up?
Just click on the event of your choice and complete the registration form. If it’s an FCU Team sponsored event we’ll have a form for you to sign at the event. Don’t forget to mark your calendar with all the event details!

Do I have to be a Shell FCU member to participate in an event?
No, you do not have to be a Shell FCU member to participate in any event on the calendar. This is a community effort and all hands on deck are appreciated!

What if I’m under 18 and I want to participate?
Just download the parental permission slip and the hold harmless agreement. Make sure your parents read and sign them both. Then bring it with you to the event and turn it in to the FCU Team Event Organizer. After that you’re ready to participate. Those under 18 will not be allowed to participate without a signed parental permission slip.

Do I have to volunteer for every event?
No. Pick and choose the events you’d like to participate in. You may participate in every event but we know they might not all fit your schedule. Make a monthly or yearly goal to volunteer a certain number of hours. You’ll be surprised how much fun you have and you’ll want to attend every event.

Can I add my event to the calendar?
Yes, you can promote your event on the calendar too. Shout back at us and complete the "Speak Your Mind... it's Your Life" form below. We’ll review your event and add it to the calendar for all the other iLifers to see.

Who knows we might even show up at your event with FCU Team t-shirts and the iLife camera to capture the fun. Ok, so we’re going to reserve the right not to post events we deem inappropriate. You know how that goes!

Is every event on the calendar an FCU Team event?
No, only those events listed as an FCU Team event are sponsored by Shell FCU. The calendar may include other community events. If so you might not receive a FCU Team t-shirt, but be sure to participate in the next FCU Team event so you can get a t-shirt. Remember, you only get 1 FREE shirt and the next shirt will be $5.
