Getting in shape can be a hard thing to do, but if you put your mind to it and you really want to lose some weight it will be worth it in the long run. Here are some cheap and easy (kind of) ways to stay fit!

Super Bowl Winner Already?

As half the country sits on their couch Sunday afternoon, some will be out placing bets. But for who? According to a recent Yahoo! article, the New Orleans Saints will be taking home the trophy.

The Madden NFL video game has been predicting Super bowl outcomes for the past six years. And so far, they have been right five out of the six times. This year Madden predicted the final score to be 35 – 31 with the Saints winning.

Although the game doesn’t take in to the fact of nerves and injuries, it is considered extremely accurate. But Colts fans don’t lose faith! There is still a chance for the boys in blue. After all, this is a video game we are talking about. So I guess we will find out the truth Sunday. Who are you rooting for?

Brett Favre or Brett Farve?

There is a big mystery going on around the country about the famous Viking’s quarterback, Brett Favre. Although the football player’s last name is spelt F – A – V – R – E, the media continues to endlessly pronounce it FAR-ve. So what is right?

According to www.eHow.com, the reason people keep pronouncing Brett’s last name as Farve, is due to a linguistic phenomenon called metathesis. Metathesis occurs when two neighboring sounds in a word switch places. This speech error occurs in many words in English as well as other languages too.

 
So are all the news media and fans wrong? Well…I guess so. Although you are free to think and pronounce Favre however you please, this would be a great way to win a bet or to prove a long drawn out point. What do you think?

Ways to Enjoy the Changing Seasons

Fall is a time for relaxing and having a good time. The weather is perfect, not to hot and not to cold. Especially in a place as hot as Texas. Everyone gets excited hearing that the first cool front of the season is coming in, which means no more sweating profusely every time you walk outside. But the perfect weather isn’t here for long, so be sure to enjoy it while it lasts!

Autumn is the perfect time to bbq outside with family and friends. The breeze keeps you cool while grilling all the delicious food outside on the hot bbq pit. And the different colored leaves falling make a beautiful scenery!

Another great part about the fall season is that it is also football season! Nothing is more exciting then when the whole town gathers on Friday night to watch the local high school football team beat their rivals. And when it gets even cooler outside, the concession stands will sell hot chocolate!

The only downfall about the pretty leaves that fall from the trees is that once they fall from the trees they hit the ground. And who is going to clean all those leaves up? There is a good possibility that it might be you. But you can still have fun with it! Remember when you were little and you would jump in a huge pile of leaves? Remember how fun that was? Bring out your inner child and have fun with picking up the leaves!

There are tons of different ways to enjoy the changing seasons. Anything can be done outside during this time of year, and should be! Why pass up a great opportunity to hang outside with friends and family at such a beautiful time of year!
