The Furthering Community Unity Team and Shell Federal Credit Union will be hosting a Community Outreach Seminar for free to our members and community.
There will be guest speakers from various volunteer organizations to help you learn about the different types of organizations there are and the things they do in our community.
This will be a FREE seminar and all ages are welcome. The seminar will be held on April 10th at Shell Federal Credit Union in Deer Park (301 E 13th St Deer Park, TX 77536) from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
If you are a parent of a student, a student or a community member wanting to find a way give back; please join us for this fun and informational seminar.

National Protect Your Identity Week is October 16-22. This is an important time to educate yourself on how to make sure your identity is safe. Nine million Americans get their identity stolen each year and you need to make sure that you are not one of them.
Every year approximately 20 million people lose their phone, that’s 54795 phones a day! Have you ever thought what you would do if you lost yours? Think about everything that is on your phone – Pictures of you and your loved ones, personal information, passwords, email, facebook and even your personal bank account. Finding (or stealing) a phone is like Christmas for an identity thief! Luckily there are ways to protect your personal information, and even getting your phone back.
New technology is fun, but at the same time it can be very dangerous. Everyone has a facebook, and people post pictures daily showing their friends what they are up to. But with all these pictures being taken, some don’t realize that posting all of your pictures can put you in danger.

Google+ has been out for a couple of weeks now (not to everyone though). If you want access into the wonderful new world of social media, you must be invited, which is fairly easy. Know someone who has Google+? Get them to send you an invitation! The only way to get in is to be invited by someone already in, or to be invited by Google themselves. This won’t last forever though. Right now it is just going through a test run to get out all of the little kinks and quirks that don’t work.
